Victim Services

Here at the Elizabethtown Police Department we are aware that Domestic violence is on the rise. Domestic Violence affects people of every social class, gender, geography, age, race, disability, and sexuality. The violence can begin at any level of a relationship and may continue after the relationship has ended.

Domestic Violence is most often used to exercise power and control in a relationship. It is exhibited by way of a pattern of behaviors and tactics designed to “control” that person; and, frequently, those behaviors are aggressive in nature. There are more victims of domestic violence than car accidents, muggings, and sexual assaults combined. If you are a victim of domestic violence, please know that you are not alone.
