A Message from the Chief

Jamie Land
Major Jamie Land began his career in Law Enforcement as a military policeman in the United States Marine Corps Reserve. He joined the Elizabethtown Police Department in 1998 as a patrolman and progressed to a Field Training Officer (FTO). He was promoted to Patrol Sergeant in 2004. He remained a patrol sergeant until his appointment as Deputy Chief of Patrol in September of 2011. On September 1st, 2017, Major Jamie Land was sworn in as Chief of Police following the retirement of Chief Tracy Schiller. Major Land is a graduate of the Department of Criminal Justice Training Academy of Police Supervision and the Criminal Justice Executive Development Program. He is also a 2010 graduate of the FBI National Academy (Session 241).
